Adventures in Macro

StopandSeetheNature 2 Macro Photography

I thought I would give Macro a try, well really my mom thought I might like it. She was right (of course) but boy it is challenging. When I first got my lenses I went outside and I tried to get close to nature, that’s what Macro photography is all about. It really lets you see even more than what your eyes can see. It’s like a microscope for your camera. It’s so cool!

I found it kind of hard to get what I was shooting in focus. So I took a lot of blurry pictures at first. I did get some I like. I found it really hard to be so still, I even held my breath. Here are some of the first Macro pictures I took.

Fuzzy Magnolia Macro

This first one isn’t in the best of focus but I still like it. You can see the little hairs on the plant (hairs? do plants have hair?) I like how this shows how this plant would feel, Soft and fuzzy. I think its cool how plants have different feels on them, so much variety in you own yard.

Skeleton Plant

This one is my favorite one I took Β on this day. To me it’s like the bones of the flower. I don’t know what kind of plant it is but I just think its cool!

This one was on the side of my house. I tried to get closer but it flew away before I could get a good picture. I can see if I want to take pictures of insects I’m going to have to figure out how to not make them fly away. Believe it or not event though mosquito’s can be annoying, I still think they are kind of interesting.

Up Close

Plants are very relaxing. They even help us to breath cleaner air, maybe that’s why I love to be around them. I think the fact that they are mostly green helps them be relaxing to be around too.

I am still learning about Macro, I would love your tips and suggestions. If you leave a comment below it would be great. Thanks
